How the Left and Right Brain Works
You’ve probably heard the question: Are you left-brained or right-brained? For normal, healthy individuals the answer is both. However, the two halves of the brain do have some very different, specialized functions. There is also some truth in the claim that the left brain deals with logic and the right side with creative processes, but this oversimplifies matters. The human brain is an extraordinary organ and a full understanding of the secrets of its functioning is still a long way off. Continue reading
Why Do Bad Things Happen To Good People?
Probably the biggest question for all people, whether they believe in God or not, is why is there so much suffering in this world? This is a question that probably won’t ever be answered until we meet God in person. Many people have opinions, and I’d like to give mine here. Continue reading

Why ‘I Know’ Are The Two Most Destructive Words To Learning.
How many times do frustrated parents correct their kids, only to be told ‘I know that’ by their half-listening offspring? Every mum and dad in that position knows the message hasn’t got through; the child obviously neither knows nor cares, and nothing of value has been learned. Continue reading

Increase Your Health and Wellbeing with Massage Therapy
Most people I know say that their health is one of their top priorities. Unfortunately, the reality is that is what they say, but not necessarily what they do. This is sad to me, because we all know that we have to take good care of ourselves. The reality is that we take our bodies and health for granted. Well that is until something happens. Then we kind of just wake up and then maybe we take care of ourselves?at least for a while. We have to make health a priority. We need ways to counteract the affects of stress and find balance in our lives. One method that helps people decompress from stress is massage therapy and the most convenient way to receive it is from a massage chair. Continue reading
Brain Training for A Career Boost
ENIAC, the first computer capable of general problem solving, consisted of 70,000 resistors, 17,468 vacuum tubes, 10,000 capacitors, 7,200 crystal diodes, 1,500 relays, and around 5 million hand-soldered joints. At 27 tons, it filled an entire room, consumed 150 kW of power and required six people to program its routines. Today, a chip of silicon the size of a grain of sand has the same computing power as ENIAC. ENIAC went into operation in 1946. In the past sixty years more and more jobs have been transformed until now almost every mode of employment involves complex information processing in some way shape or form. Continue reading

The Law of Increase Learn How to Increase Your Gratitude to Achieve What You Desire in Life
Author : Nickolove Lovemore
The Law of Increase is essentially about expressing your gratitude for what you have When you do this you are in resonance with the things you appreciate and desire in your life and so you receive more of the same
The problem is too many people are complaining about what they do not have in life When you do this you resonate with what you lack and you get more of the same The Law of Increase works every time
One of the complaints about the hit movie “The Secret” was that it only focused on money and material things The interesting thing is that this is not the case “The Secret” also dealt with other key aspects of our lives such as health and relationships
However, many people want more money and so when they watched the movie that is what their attention was drawn to Then when they were unable to manifest the money they desired the movie became like sour grapes and they rejected the underlying message of the movie
However, you cannot escape the fact that to live life of a high standard you need to have money – lots of it
I recently read about a businessman who has titanium business cards You may be asking: “Why would anyone make business cards from titanium? Isn’t that expensive?” Yes, it sure is but he can afford it
Isn’t it great to be so rich you can splurge on something like business cards and really create a lasting impression? You may also be thinking, “What a waste of money!” But surely this man has earned the right to spend the money as he pleases It may be somewhat ostentatious but it isn’t immoral or unethical
What if your thoughts ran more along these lines?
“Titanium business cards? What a novel idea!”
You would be in a totally different state emotionally than if you resented this business man You would probably be excited about the prospect of having an abundance of money yourself and the good things you’d be able to do with it
You see many people would love to have more money in their lives but their resentment literally disconnects them from what they desire If you feel resentment against people who are rich try feeling happy for them instead
Think about it Their achievements demonstrate that it is possible for an individual to become rich In many cases, these individuals have very humble origins Some grew up in abject poverty So if they can become rich against such odds so can you Celebrate their achievements so that you may celebrate your own
Sadly, many people often struggle to find anything to be grateful for but the mere fact that you are alive is both a miracle and a blessing There are numerous things you can express your gratitude each and everyday
Remember the Charles Dicken’s “A Christmas Carol” – the story of old Ebenezer Scrooge He had money but he was not wealthy He led a miserable miserly existence until the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future showed him where he had come from, what he had become and what he had to look forward to
After that revelation it wasn’t just that he became more generous He was more grateful for life itself and he expressed his new-found joy and gratitude for his life through his generosity And the Law of Increase duly rewarded After all those years of hoarding his money, the more Ebenezer Scrooge gave the more his business flourished and the more joy he experienced with those close to him
Instead of being just rich he became wealthy too
“Whatever we are waiting for – peace of mind, contentment, grace, the inner awareness of simple abundance – it will surely come to us, but only when we are ready to receive it with an open and grateful heart ”
Sarah Ban Breathnach, author of “Simple Abundance”
