Thank God for the Economic Crisis
Author : Michael Mead
A deep sense of fear and loss is upon the human experience It’s called the economic crisis But the economic crisis is just the symptom of a deeper dis-ease
The disease is your projection You, the collective called humanity, are projecting your own experience of fear and separation onto the world screen You have created a theatre of the absurd; an outward projection of your inward experience
The economic crisis you see is not real! I know it looks, smells, tastes, sounds and feels real The numbers on your balance sheet are ticking down at a dizzying rate But it’s not real It’s only a projection After all, they are only numbers on a sheet of paper or in a computer network
The illusion of an up economy, personal or global, is that you have all you need The illusion of a down economy, personal or global, is that you are losing all you have
Thank God for a rapid transition from up to down! It thrust the illusions right in your face Somehow from up to down catches your attention much more than a transition from down to up Down to up engenders self aggrandizement Up to down solicits pain and suffering
You can close your eyes and suffer the pain of loss Or, you can open your eyes to the illusions Your choice will determine your prosperity But it will determine much more than your monetary prosperity After all, money is only numbers on a piece of paper, the ultimate illusion As such, it is transitory You can watch it appear and disappear right in front of your eyes See it happening right now? If you get the absurdity of the theatre it becomes entertaining to watch the numbers fluctuate as if it means something
Prosperity is a successful, flourishing, or thriving condition You confuse the location of the condition That is the illusion The illusion is that a successful, flourishing or thriving condition is measured by numbers on a piece of paper
But prosperity is measured by your internal experience It is the experience of inner peace with whatever is and the consciousness to manifest from desire at will You are your only resource Always have been; always will be Thank God!
The resourceful “YOU” is not the fearful you It is the real YOU, not the you that you consider yourself to be Accessing the real YOU is humanity’s biggest challenge
Consider the economic crisis How you respond can transform your life forever It can only be a distraction disturbing you from discovering YOU Or, it can be an opportunity for you to discover YOU Thank God for the opportunity
That’s where stillness comes to the rescue Stillness is that way of being that gives you YOU Eliminate the disturbance in the body and mind Then you have the space to discover YOU And YOU can manifest anything anytime anywhere!
Discover Stillness and you will discover YOU That’s why we developed the Discover Stillness Home Course
Michael Mead is co-developer of the Technology of Stillness which opens your body and quiets your mind to recalibrate your system to stillness. Claim your complimentary audio experience, ‘Introduction to Stillness,’ at http://www.DiscoverStillness.com. Continue reading

Examples Of Personal Development Goals
Author : Koz Huseyin
Are you looking for examples of personal development goals? As you begin reading this article, you will discover several examples of personal development goals These examples should help you in creating and formulating goals that help in a manifestation of your desire
Success happens with the right way of doing things The right way starts with a goal in mind The next step we need is formulating a goal, and this information is about to follow
A key note to remember is that your goals must be in present tense, and also be positive This is a big key, and doing these in the right way, will result in success
Goals exist for a number of different things So, we all have different goals After all, we don’t all want the same houses, and the same car, man or woman, etc
* Example Of Personal Development Goals For A Dream Home
Life is growth, and ultimately we all have a desire for a dream home To begin, you will need to first consider what you really want
And once you have that likes and dislikes figured out, you can start creating an image in mind To put this in wording, you would want to make sure that you have some ideal, some why
I am happily living in my dream home The house fulfills my love for nature, and I love walking in the garden, with my wife
This example shows emotion, it shows present tense (which is absolutely essential), and it includes your why In your case, you want to follow the same principles, and with your likes and dislikes, and ultimately your big – why, you will be able to set your goals, so they have the right foundations
* Example Of Personal Development Goals For A Car
Let’s say you want a certain car You have an ideal that relates to that This ideal is one which is possibly an easier example of a personal development goal After all, there are only a certain amount of different cars
Your goal perhaps can be written so:
I have a red Ferrari 308GTB It runs smoothly, reliably, and allows me to enjoy driving
Now again, most people will have different goals And even if you wanted a Ferrari, you likely would want a newer version than a 308GTB Nonetheless, it will help in this example
We can see that we have the color; we have the make and model We know why we want it And it has emotion in it This combination is great for success Add desire and action, and this goal can be realized in your life
Now, there are many other examples, such as finances, relationships amongst others However, from what we have covered so far, you have a framework to make it happen
From goal setting to goal achievement, Kozan Huseyin has helped many people find there own success story. Learn the true success secrets to setting goals and seeing those goals materialize in reality!

Compulsive Spending is No Joke
Author : Gloria Arenson
Although we joke that when the going gets tough, the tough go shopping, shopaholics suffer from a major psychological problem Compulsive spending and debting can lead to bankruptcy and ruined lives I have counseled spenders who have embezzled money to pay for their excesses This is no laughing matter
Most of us occasionally overindulge and buy something that costs more than we would usually spend, but only from time to time Compulsive spenders find the urge overpowering and frequent The need to shop or spend is a compulsion
My definition of compulsion is: if you can’t control when you start or when you stop a behavior you have a problem A common characteristic of “shopaholics” is that they buy things and never take the price tags off or wear them Some people don’t even take their purchases out of the bag That is because it is not about things! Spending is a way to medicate unhappiness, fear, anger and low self-esteem It is an addiction
You may wonder what creates the urge to splurge Some people learn to overspend when someone close to them is a compulsive spender who encourages them to do the same Many go shopping when they are stressed or bored Once they find themselves in a setting like a mall, that is filled with exciting temptations, it is very easy to give in
When the urge takes over shopaholics forget that that their plastic credit cards are not play money Like Scarlett O’Hara in “Gone With The Wind,” they tell themselves that they will worry about their debt tomorrow
Although we think that women are shopaholics, men are too Men buy more of the big toys like cars and boats, but they also overspend on clothing and tools Compulsive spenders are all ages and from all economic strata One of my clients was a student who had very little money, so she binged at thrift stores Many alcoholics and overeaters turn to spending as another way to soothe their inner pain when they give up alcohol or sugar
Compulsive spenders buy things to make themselves feel better; use pleasure to mask the pain of life Compulsive debtors appear to do the same thing, however there is a hidden agenda to their spending They spend in order to use up their money because they don’t think that they deserve success, wealth, or love, but they may be unaware of it
Occasionally I see someone who escalates her behavior unconsciously in the hope of getting caught so she can get help Others live lives that are filled with so much pain and dysfunction that they are oblivious to the consequences When the urge takes over it is as if they are in a trance They have to feed the hungry place inside, although things can never really fill that emptiness
The reason that shopaholics can’t control their impulses begins in the brain Stress creates an imbalance between two important brain chemicals, dopamine and serotonin Dopamine has to do with pleasure When dopamine is stimulated it helps us get into action to achieve our goals Once we have done that, the serotonin rises and gives us a feeling of satisfaction Then we move on to something else
However, when we are very stressed, either physically or emotionally, the serotonin can’t always rise enough to offset the drive of the dopamine It keeps firing, “I want it I want it ” That is what happens in a spending binge A woman may like a certain sweater and then buy it in every color it comes in before she stops
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a new, fast acting, often permanent, treatment for life problems It is best described as acupressure for the emotions EFT helps people release negative feelings and cravings by treating the energy meridians in the body You only need to stimulate eight energy points, mostly on the face, by tapping or touching them The stimulation goes to the brain and releases stress, calms emotions, and helps the thinking part of the brain to say, “No” to cravings
Friends and families of compulsive spenders and debtors usually stand by in despair as they see their loved ones fritter away money, deplete savings, and build up huge debt The most important advice I give them is what not to do Don’t threaten, punish, cover up for, or try to bribe the spender into changing It simply won’t work If you cut up their credit cards they already know the number by heart! Some have credit cards that you don’t even know exist Compulsive spenders are like alcoholics They spend when they are upset They will lie and cheat in order to be free to spend The best thing you can do is to understand that they are not bad or stupid people They are people who are in a lot of emotional pain Encourage them to find help for their problems Debtors Anonymous is a good place to start

Better Self Esteem Four Steps To Improve Your Self Esteem
Author : Hans Thorn
You can have everything in place with the right education, job, background, etc But if you do not have good self-esteem, you are not getting the success you deserve
We have looked at many different aspects in acquiring success But if you do not get your self-esteem in place to obtain everything else in the world, you will not be really satisfied
How do we accomplish this? In order to understand what self-esteem does, we must understand what self-esteem is The best way to do this is to compare self-esteem with self-confidence
Do you know the difference? When you understand what the difference is, you can also achieve anything at all, because you can differentiate between the two Self-confidence according to me, is that value you make of the surrounding world on what you do When you create a lot of success within business, sports or something else and become recognized for this, the chances are good that you will develop good self-confidence
Self-esteem on the other hand is your internal value of yourself irrespective of what the surrounding world thinks You can have enormous success outwardly or not get any recognition whatsoever, but your self-esteem is intact Do you see the difference?
Let us take an example: You have Sam who is the top executive at a leading company in the IT field All is going well and Sams self-confidence is high Suddenly the market collapses and Sam is fired Depending on what Sam has for fundamental values about himself (self-esteem), his behavior returns to the basics (self-esteem) With poor self-esteem, Sam collapses and we never hear from him again With good self-esteem, perhaps Sam takes a half of a year off and comes back later, stronger than ever Certainly, you have seen both types of people?
Can you develop your self-esteem so that you do not become broken when your self-confidence gives way? Of course! It is simple but it is not easy
What can a person do?
1 Create a fundamental security that is not based on extraneous results
2 Realize what it is and develop it
3 With this foundation you will be on the path to the success that you want
4 Now you have both self-esteem and self-confidence
As mentioned, it is simple, but not easy Therefore many different directions have emerged on how to develop your self-esteem It can be anything at all from yoga to meditation to coaching Find the way that passes you best

Hypnosis How To Use Covert Hypnosis
Author : Marc Savage
Did you ever find yourself doing something you never thought you would do? If you are like most people, you probably answered yes What happened? Why did you do something you never thought you would do? You most likely were under someone’s covert hypnotic control
The interesting thing is, more often than not, this covert hypnotic control is a total accident The person who used it most likely had no idea he or she was even using this powerful technique So how did it happen and how can YOU use covert hypnosis for your benefit?
One Covert Hypnotic technique is about the language you use and the tone of your voice when you use it We all use three basic voice inflections when we speak We use one for a question, one for a statement and one for a command
We use an upward inflection at the end of a question
We use a flat inflection at the end of a statement
We use a downward inflection at the end of a command
By using a downward inflection during covert hypnosis, you are using what is known as an embedded command In other words, you use a different tone or inflection to create a subliminal command, a command that most people will never even notice
For example, have you ever asked a question but it sounded more like a statement or a command? Well, that is an embedded command Embedded commands are used to say something directly to the unconscious mind while you might be saying something completely different to the conscious mind
So, for example, if you wanted to get someone to pay for dinner you could use an embedded command Try this out when you are sitting at dinner with someone who you would like to get to pay for your dinner
During the conversation, ease the topic over to buying dinner for someone At some point say -Did you ever just “pay the bill when the waiter brings it now for me”, when I’m out to dinner with someone it’s like you “want to pay for dinner” and when you “want to pay for dinner” you can just “grab the check when it comes” and “pay for the whole bill”
You want to use the downward inflection of a command for all the parts of that language pattern that are in quotes This is a simple covert tactic that works quite often
There is a whole lot more to covert hypnosis than just embedded commands

Curb Compulsive Shopping with Mall Therapy
Author : Gloria Arenson
Compulsive spending is a problem that affects millions of people from all walks of life In a society that actively promotes conspicuous consumption, credit card abuse has reached epidemic proportions, causing untold heartache and ruined lives Shopping is a pastime that hooks us into spending more than we can afford Malls are like giant theme parks that beckon us to make out dreams come true through purchasing things Mall Therapy is a quick and enjoyable way to curb the unstoppable urge to spend
If you are a shopaholic, this technique is one you can do yourself to promote immediate changes in your behavior You will need the aid of someone you can trust who is not addicted to shopping, to carry out this experiment Explain to your companion that you are performing an experiment to find out more about yourself The other person needs to promise to be supportive and not make any judgmental comments
Pick a shopping mall, large department store or giant warehouse You can decide to go during a slow time or a very busy weekend Plan to stay for one hour Here is a list of questions you can have your helper ask you as you progress through the hour
After you enter the mall or store, look around and take stock of the setting Ask yourself how anxious, fearful, or excited you are on a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being very calm and 10 being extremely emotional What are you telling yourself? Share it with your friend
Find the mall or store directory and read it through quickly What are your thoughts? Which shops or departments are the hardest to resist? Share your thoughts and feelings with your helper and select a destination
While walking toward your destination become aware of your reactions to the other areas you pass How do you feel? It is okay to window shop Keep verbalizing your thoughts and any urges to stop and shop
When you reach your destination, stop for a moment and rate your anxiety on the 1 to 10 scale What are you telling yourself about this place? What do you want to do? What will happen if you follow through? If you know that you will regret that action, are you willing to act in a new way? Share your thoughts with your companion as you browse or try on things How do you feel while you are touching the merchandise or trying things on? Talk about it What do you want to do now? What do you decide do?
Leave the shopping area and find a place to stop and take stock What was that experience like? How was it different from the way you usually shop? What new decisions did you make? Write them down
Ask your friend what he or she thought about as you both walked around and looked at the merchandise Does this person think the way you do? Compare your ideas with each other If your friend’s outlook is different, try not to think of it as criticism What have you just learned?
If there is time, pick a second shop and go through the same steps See if anything has changed Leave the mall or store How do you feel right now, anxious, guilty, elated? Take stock of what you have learned in the last hour What changes will you put into action immediately?
Some decisions that other shopaholics have made are: shop only with a list, stay aware of the temptations of the stores or windows calling to you, and pretend that you are wearing blinders Perhaps you will decide to set a specific time allotment for your shopping excursion, just enough time to get the things on your list Become accountable for leaving the store at the promised time, no matter what The exercise I have just described can be done in front of your TV as you watch a home-shopping program, if this is one of your compulsions Be sure you have a helper take you through the questions as the program progresses
Reading about how to change can be informative, but actually to do it is sometimes difficult When you find yourself resisting change, you may begin to hate yourself and may quit without giving yourself enough time to find ways to overcome your resistance Working with a therapist or support group can help you push past the stumbling blocks and learn to confront your conflicts and fears The important thing is to dedicate yourself to the idea that you can overcome your spending problem, no matter what it takes

Your Fear of Failure Makes It Hard To Succeed
Author : Hans Thorn
Have you ever thought of how some people make the most out of life, while others simply drag their feet? To truly create power and success, you really need to know what you want to achieve You should really give this a lot of deep thought and look within yourself and ask yourself honestly what it is that you want out of life
Behind every idea and success, there always lies a lot of work to be done even though we do not see it in the end result Seldom do we actually know all of the effort and hard work a very successful person has put forth to become the successful person that they are today
For example, perhaps you have had a boss in your past at your place of work whom was highly successful Chances are very good that he or she had to work very hard for years to get where he or she is now It does not come overnight
What idea or dream do you have that you would like to come true? Have you decided to give it a chance? Many of us have had grand dreams at some point in our lives that we had wished for more than anything, but have thought that we simply could not achieve those dreams without even giving them a chance We must give our dreams a chance
Behind every success there often lie many failures Is it not time to dare both the successes and failures? When you are ready to do both of these, you are ready to create the future that you deserve We should not fear failing as it only stops us from even attempting to make our dreams reality So take the chance, and stare your fear in the face; it will be worth it in the end
Four tips for you who are ready to fail, in order to succeed:
1 Begin working on your dream today
2 Putting off your plans for your dreams is the same as giving up your dream
3 Do not allow anyone to stop your dream (you or someone else)
4 Make sure that you create a plan of action that you cannot back out of when you begin to become afraid of failing
The personal development that you get out of these four steps is probably the biggest boost you can give yourself in your life You can most certainly get the most out of your life by beating the fear of failing and not letting anyone stop you from achieving your dream
And the next step to creating your own success can be getting your instant free access to my Special Report 10 Steps To Unlimited Success when you visit Personal
